The AANA Foundation's State-of-the-Science Oral Poster Session features CRNAs and/or SRNAs presenting their research findings. Presentations will be focused in two areas- research and evidence-based projects.

I have been a CRNA for 12 years. I currently practice in a CRNA only group at a Critical Access Hospital in Ohio. I completed my PhD at Duquesne University in August of 2018 with a focus on prolonged postoperative opioid use in opioid naïve patients. Some of my awards include: 2018 OSANA Educator of the Year, 2018 U.C. Nurse Anesthesia Program Didactic Educator of the Year, and the 2019 Duquesne University School of Nursing Distinguished Dissertation Award. I am the project director for over $1 million in federal grants specific to the opioid crisis.
