This session will explore SRNAs' perceptions of incivility and bullying by healthcare providers in the clinical setting. The results of a qualitative dissertation which included SRNAs across the Midwest. These SRNAs who were brave enough to share their perceptions and the effects of incivility and bullying on them are discussed and suggestions on how we may be able to mitigate these issues.

Dr. Chandler is an Associate Professor at Bryan College of Health Sciences School of Nurse Anesthesia. She has been a CRNA for over 16 years. She is a past president of the State of Nebraska Association of Nurse Anesthetists and served on NANA's BOD for over 10 years. She enjoys teaching Physiology, Health Systems Policy, Leadership, and Professional Practice. In addition, she coordinates and teaches simulation to all the Bryan anesthesia cohorts. Dr. Chandler is married, has three children and two granddaughters. She lives in Bennington Nebraska but prefers the mountains of Montana and fly fishing.
