The AANA Foundation's State-of-the-Science Oral Poster Session features CRNAs and/or SRNAs presenting their research findings. Presentations will be focused in two areas- research and evidence-based projects.

Dr. Nicole Luongo is a 2011 graduate of the University of Pittsburgh Nurse Anesthesia program who went on to earn her Doctorate of Nurse Practice Degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center in 2020. Her doctoral thesis was focused on the phenomenon of corneal abrasions and reducing the incidence of these injuries for surgical patients. Dr. Luongo currently practices nurse anesthesia at the University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas.
