The purpose of this presentation is to describe the effectiveness of intra-operative magnesium sulfate bolus and infusion administered to patients undergoing gynecologic surgical procedures to reduce post-operative pain. Based on this evidence a proposal for a change in clinical anesthesia practice is then achieved.
